Pet Peeves: Tongue Scrapers!

"Tongue scrapers help clear away all the bacteria and germs that gather on your tongue. A healthy tongue has a rosy pink color, while an unhealthy tongue is dull or has a white film. A tooth brush helps clean some of the tongue, but also might distribute bacteria from the teeth to the tongue. Use a tongue scraper once a day to help fight bad breath and bacteria."

Tongue scrapers like this give me the heebie-jeebies. I can't stand these things. I understand their purpose but I cannot watch anyone use these or use one myself. Scraping over the bumps of your tongue to clean bacteria. Yuck! Tongues are just gross.

Josh uses one every night after he brushes his teeth. I appreciate his attempt at better breath but I refuse to watch him scrape his tongue. If we are having a conversation and I am look at him, he knows now to warn me to look away before he scrapes his tongue. This has taken some training but I am so glad he knows to warn me now.

Even writing this blog entry and seeing the picture of the tongue scrapers give me goose bumps. I have to stop talking about this now before I gag!

Back to Blogging!

Dear Blog,

I am back! I have been updating Facebook and Caring Bridge as much as I can but I have abandoned you, my blog, for the last 8 months. Sorry Blog! Look for a new post soon about Cole's 1st birthday and about my dad and Carol's trip to Cali. I am also thinking about a name change for you, my blog. We'll see. Later!

Your friend,
Jaime
