Happy 4th! (Anniversary not of July)

Josh and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. Our actual anniversary was exactly one month ago, June 27. We never got a chance to celebrate and thought that this would be a great opportunity. We ate at a Japanese restaurant at the Irvine Spectrum called Maki Maki. This was not out first choice but it was the only restaurant without a wait. The food tasted good but it is way too expensive for the small portions of food they serve.
The John Mayer concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater/Irvine Meadows was awesome. The opening acts, Brett Dennen and Colbie Caillat were good. It was great to hear Colbie's songs live but she is definitely timid on stage and even spoke about her stage fright. Josh kept saying she just needed to sing louder and he could hear everytime she was flat. After seeing John Mayer, all other performances paled in comparison. I had no idea what an amazing guitar player he was and his voice sounded as good if not better than his recorded stuff. You could tell he had been doing this for a long time. He knew when to play what song, how to play to the crowd and how to be AWESOME!
Back to the anniversary part...I reminded Josh that next year on our 5 year anniversary we are going to watch our wedding video together. He promised! This next year ourlives will change but we are determined to keep our marriage and each other a priority even over our new addition. Next year, we want to look back and know that our marriage is stronger!

Dear lord woman you've been busy on the blog. Stupid Japs and their small proportions (YES! i DID just say that!). No wonder they're so dang short. John Mayer's body is a wonderland (I'll use my hands). Wedding video next anniversary? Hah! I'm sure he'd rather burry himself alive or tear out his toenails than watch that. I mean, if my future wife suggests watching our wedding video, I'm gonna go Mystery Science Theater 3000 on that beast and mock it until she turns it off. She'll probably never suggest it again.
